Assembly Mechanic

Role overview

This position involves building, fitting, setting up, and taking apart complete machine assemblies according to technical plans and blueprints. The work is carried out as part of a collaborative shop-floor team.

Core duties

• Put together and install machine parts using work instructions and engineering drawings, with hand tools, drills, spot welders, calipers, and other equipment as required.
• Coordinate with teammates to troubleshoot alignment, fit, and operating issues.
• Break down machine components and prepare them for dispatch.
• Be willing to learn and use additional equipment such as drills, grinders, forklifts, overhead hoists, and similar machinery when needed.
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the employer.
