Role overview
As an Area Support Officer within Lancashire County Council’s Property Services Building Surveying Team, you will help deliver a reliable and high-quality cleaning and grounds maintenance service through both internal teams and external providers.
Key duties
You will oversee contracts for clients in your designated geographic area, making sure contract information is accurate, current and useful. Where issues, mismatches or disputes arise, you will work to resolve them efficiently.
You will also give technical guidance on building cleaning, caretaking and grounds maintenance matters to schools and other establishments, while supporting the ongoing growth of related support services.
To keep the contract management process running smoothly, you will coordinate closely with building surveyors, service providers, contractors, stakeholders and the business support team so that information remains correct and up to date.
Sector knowledge
The role requires a solid understanding of cleaning and grounds maintenance operations, particularly within school environments, including how these services are managed and delivered.
Employment details
This is a permanent full-time position, working 37 hours per week. The salary range is £32,061 to £36,363 per annum.
International sponsorship is not available for this vacancy.
