Role overview

Etihad is hiring an experienced Alliance Systems Manager to join its Alliances & Joint Ventures function. This is a technical, hands-on position focused on configuring, validating, and supporting the airline systems that power Etihad’s codeshare and interline relationships around the world.

The role operates in live production environments and covers Passenger Service System (PSS) integrations, codeshare publication, interline testing, and schedule synchronization across more than 130 airline partners. The work directly influences commercial results, partner collaboration, and the overall customer experience.

This position is also central to a major technology transition, as Etihad moves from AirVision to Lufthansa Systems’ SchedConnect platform. It is well suited to someone who enjoys solving intricate technical issues and seeing system changes take effect in day-to-day airline operations.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain Amadeus Altéa Passenger Service System parameters that support codeshare and interline activities.
• Oversee the full implementation process for new interline, through check-in, and codeshare partnerships.
• Carry out testing and verification of Passenger Service System integrations with partner airlines.
• Maintain codeshare schedule publication and ensure schedules stay synchronized over time.
• Support roughly 138 interline partners through testing, issue resolution, and operational assistance.
• Manage configuration updates in production systems with careful attention to accuracy and system stability.
• Lead or assist with PSS migration initiatives involving interline, codeshare, and schedule-related integration.
• Prepare detailed test approaches, document testing plans, and perform user acceptance testing for new features.
• Maintain Carrier Preferred Display (CPD) settings to improve commercial performance across GDS channels and Etihad.com.
• Handle class mapping changes, passenger reaccommodation tasks, and schedule updates after network changes.
• Work with Amadeus and other technology vendors to diagnose and fix production issues while limiting commercial impact.
• Contribute to the rollout of Lufthansa Systems SchedConnect and support the transition away from AirVision.
• Share technical know-how with the team and help build wider capability in alliance systems and related tools.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with airline commercial or operational systems.
• Strong practical experience working with Amadeus Passenger Service System (PSS).
• Solid understanding of codeshare operations and publication workflows.
• Hands-on experience implementing and supporting interline agreements.
• Knowledge of schedule publication and airline schedule integration processes.
• Experience working directly in live production environments.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage complex technical processes with limited supervision.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with internal teams and external airline partners.
• Preferred: experience with Lufthansa Systems SchedConnect.
• Preferred: experience with AirVision or similar airline scheduling systems.
• Preferred: exposure to Sabre scheduling or other airline schedule management platforms.
• Preferred: background in major airline system migrations or technology transformation programs.
