About the internship

Idea Usher is looking for a UI/UX Design intern to support the creation of digital experiences that are easy to use, visually refined, and aligned with user needs. The company is a software development and digital marketing agency with its headquarters in Chandigarh and additional offices in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia. Role overview

As part of the design team, you will help convert user insights and business goals into wireframes, prototypes, and polished interface designs. You will work with cross-functional teams to shape seamless digital journeys and contribute to the overall quality of the product experience.

Key responsibilities

Design wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile experiences.
Carry out user research and usability checks to identify opportunities for design refinement.
Work alongside managers and developers to make sure UI/UX decisions are implemented smoothly.
Define and uphold design standards, guidelines, and best practices across projects.
Refine designs using feedback, test outcomes, and data-driven insights.
Keep pace with current UI/UX trends, techniques, and industry practices.
Build personas, user journeys, and information architecture structures.
Support the creation and upkeep of visual language, design systems, and component libraries.
Champion user needs and ensure design choices reflect user behavior and expectations.
Present design ideas and concepts clearly to stakeholders.
Coordinate with marketing and development teams to maintain a consistent brand and user experience.
Analyze competitors and benchmark products to keep designs competitive and modern.
Partner with front-end developers to confirm technical feasibility and ensure a clean handoff.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related discipline is expected.
Prior exposure to UI/UX work for web and mobile applications is required.
Comfort using design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.
A strong grasp of user-centered design principles and established UX practices.
Hands-on experience with user research and usability testing.
Good understanding of interaction design and information architecture.
Capability to build and maintain design systems and component libraries.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in teams.
Awareness of the latest UI trends, methods, and technologies.
A portfolio that demonstrates UI/UX projects and problem-solving ability.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Exposure to motion design and micro-interactions will be considered an added advantage.
Ability to perform well in a fast-moving environment and handle several projects at once.

Who can apply

This opportunity is open only to candidates who can work from home, are able to begin between 22 Jun 2026 and 27 Jul 2026, can commit for 6 months, and have relevant skills and interest in the field.

Compensation and perks

The stipend offered is INR 8,000 to INR 15,000 per month. Additional benefits include a certificate and a 5-day work week.
