Role Overview

As the Technical Co-Founder / Founding CTO, you will take full ownership of the technology function. You will partner directly with the founder to shape the product, set the technical direction, recruit the engineering team, and help grow Astra Space AI into a global AI company. This role is intended for someone who wants to build a company, not simply contribute code.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the technical roadmap and drive its execution
• Design scalable architecture for AI and SaaS products
• Develop production-grade AI applications
• Oversee backend, frontend, DevOps, and AI engineering work
• Recruit, guide, and grow the engineering team
• Take ownership of product reliability, security, and scalability
• Assess new AI technologies and adopt them where they add value
• Collaborate closely with customers to turn business needs into AI-based solutions

Desired Profile

• Hands-on experience building SaaS products or sophisticated software systems
• Strong knowledge of AI, large language models, and agentic AI systems
• Experience working with APIs, cloud platforms, databases, and scalable system design
• Product-oriented mindset with strong delivery capability
• Comfortable in a fast-paced startup setting
• Strong sense of ownership and leadership
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Genuinely interested in building products with international impact

Compensation is structured as equity plus a competitive salary, with the exact salary depending on experience.
