Role overview
This position supports the Human Resources function at a luxury hotel in Doha, with a focus on employee relations, HR operations, and coordination across the leadership team. The role is part of a full-time, non-management schedule at the Ras Abu Abboud Street location in Doha, Qatar.
What you will do
- Monitor employee-relations matters, help resolve them, and follow through on any required actions.
- Support management and leadership in handling and closing out HR-related issues.
- Verify that recruiting and hiring processes follow applicable local, state, and federal laws as well as company policies and standards.
- Escalate employee-relations concerns to HR management when needed.
- Respond to questions, requests, and concerns from employees and managers about company policies, programs, and HR guidelines.
- Share information with employees about employer-employee relations, employee activities, and personnel policies and programs.
- Check that employee records and files are maintained accurately, including interview documents and I-9 forms.
- Help plan, organize, and administer the annual employee survey process.
- Handle incoming calls and record messages professionally.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, appraisals, coaching, discipline, motivation, and employee development.
- Follow all company safety and security procedures and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions.
- Protect confidential and proprietary information.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests in line with company standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, including proper phone etiquette.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships and support the team in reaching shared goals.
- Use computer systems and/or point-of-sale systems to enter and retrieve work-related information.
- Be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable job duties requested by supervisors.
Desired profile
The role calls for someone with a secondary school qualification or an equivalent GED, along with relevant experience in human resources and prior supervisory experience. The position requires a professional approach, strong coordination skills, and the ability to manage sensitive employee matters with discretion.
