Sourcing Production Manager

Role overview

SPORTLUX is hiring a Senior Sourcing & Production Manager in Dubai to lead global sourcing, supplier management, production execution, and commercial optimization across apparel operations.

Key responsibilities

You will own the sourcing strategy, build and manage supplier partnerships, and drive production from development handover through bulk shipment. The role requires close coordination with internal teams and external partners to keep collections on schedule, protect quality, and maintain target margins.

• Create and run a global sourcing plan that supports business goals.
• Find, assess, negotiate with, and onboard key suppliers in Bangladesh, China, India, Turkey, Vietnam, and other sourcing markets.
• Develop long-term supplier relationships while improving cost, quality, flexibility, and lead times.
• Handle commercial discussions covering pricing, payment terms, capacity commitments, and performance agreements.
• Support supplier rationalization and diversify sourcing where needed.
• Manage production end to end, from development handover to bulk shipment.
• Track critical-path milestones and ensure seasonal collections ship on time.
• Monitor factory capacity, production schedules, and risks to prevent delays and bottlenecks.
• Put corrective action plans in place when delivery, quality, or capacity issues appear.
• Align sourcing, product development, merchandising, logistics, quality, and sales teams.
• Lead seasonal costing work and cost-engineering initiatives.
• Find margin improvement opportunities through sourcing choices, material selection, process efficiency, and supplier negotiation.
• Help drive growth while safeguarding gross margin targets.
• Ensure products meet brand standards and customer expectations.
• Oversee testing, social compliance, product safety, and customer-specific compliance needs.
• Work with quality teams and third-party inspectors to ensure consistent execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textile Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a similar field.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in apparel sourcing and production.
• At least 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership position.
• Established sourcing network across key manufacturing countries, especially Bangladesh, China, India, Turkey, and Vietnam.
• Strong understanding of apparel manufacturing, product development, costing, compliance, quality assurance, and supply chain operations.
• Proven negotiation, analytical, and commercial judgment skills.
• Experience managing large supplier bases and multi-country sourcing activities.
