İş tanımı
About the role
Olivia is building a generative design AI agent that helps DTC brands create product photos, ads, newsletters, and social content through simple conversation. The company is an early-stage, fast-moving team working at the edge of applied generative AI, and more than 100 brands already use the product. This internship is designed to be hands-on from the start, with real features going out to customers immediately rather than filler work.
What you will work on
You will collaborate closely with the founding engineering team on a modern full-stack product. The work spans the React front end, Node back end, and Prisma/Postgres data layer, along with AI-agent and image-generation pipelines that connect to models such as Claude, Gemini, GPT, and others. You will also help improve the real-time WebGL-powered design canvas and the infrastructure that delivers generated images into it. Because this is an early-stage environment, the scope may shift week to week and you may own the most important task at hand.
AI-first development workflow
Using AI coding agents is a core part of the team’s process, not an optional extra. The company expects you to be comfortable working with tools like Claude Code, Codex, or similar agentic assistants such as Cursor. You should be able to plan tasks, prompt the agent effectively, review the output critically, and ship production-quality code with AI as a collaborator rather than relying on it as autocomplete.
Who this internship is for
This opportunity is a fit for candidates in their final year of a computer science or software program, recent graduates, or students seeking a co-op term. You should already be comfortable with JavaScript or TypeScript and have some experience building full-stack projects, whether from coursework, hackathons, personal projects, or prior internships. The team also values candidates who have worked with an LLM API or are eager to learn quickly. Strong applicants write clear, maintainable code, stay effective in ambiguous situations, and care about the user experience as much as the task itself.
Preferred background
Extra points are given for production experience with React and Node, hands-on work with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, image generation, or agent frameworks, and familiarity with Prisma, Postgres, or modern full-stack frameworks. A public GitHub profile or portfolio showing projects you have actually built and shipped is also considered a strong advantage.
Compensation and engagement details
The position pays CAD 20 per hour. It is structured as a flexible full-time summer co-op with the possibility of moving into a longer-term role for strong performers. The work arrangement is remote, with a remote/hybrid note referencing Toronto, Ontario. The role is intended to begin as soon as possible and is open on a rolling basis.
Application instructions
Applicants are asked to submit a resume plus a GitHub or portfolio link, briefly describe the most interesting thing they have built, and explain how they currently use Claude Code, Codex, or another AI coding tool in their workflow. The team places more value on links to real work than on a traditional cover letter.
