Role summary
Appian Fasteners is looking for an organised and proactive Sales Support Executive to assist the Regional Sales Managers with order handling, customer service, and day-to-day sales coordination. This position works closely with internal teams and external customers across Ireland to keep quotations, orders, deliveries, and post-sale queries moving smoothly.
What the role involves
The successful candidate will partner with Regional Sales Managers and supply chain colleagues to manage RFQs, raise and track orders in ERP systems, and maintain strong working relationships with clients. The role also includes following up on quotations, monitoring deliveries, resolving technical and delivery-related issues, and supporting overall sales activity.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute effectively as part of an established and fast-moving sales function.
- Receive customer orders and process them accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Handle purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to help ensure on-time delivery.
- Follow up on customer quotations to improve conversion into future business.
- Develop and maintain positive, long-term relationships with customers.
- Support sales growth by spotting opportunities to improve customer experience.
- Work with hauliers and couriers to arrange and track deliveries.
- Identify opportunities to upsell related products where appropriate.
- Maintain and refresh the sales database.
- Share lead status and quotation updates with the wider sales team.
- Manage after-sales enquiries and respond to customer questions.
Candidate profile
You should bring 1 to 2 years of experience in internal sales support, account management, or customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with good organisation, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and confidence working in a busy B2B setting. Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and previous use of ERP systems will be valuable. A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is preferred but not required.
