Project Engineer - Analyzer System

Role overview

This role is for a Project Engineer focused on designing, developing, and delivering customized analytical package and analyzer system projects across sectors such as refineries, power plants, chemical plants, and petrochemical facilities.

What you will do

• Build and execute tailored analyzer package and analytical system solutions from concept through completion.
• Create systems that meet technical requirements while balancing cost, safety, dependability, quality, and sustainability.
• Take projects from initial design to implementation, testing, quality checks, and final handover.
• Prepare engineering calculations such as lag time analysis, sample probe wake-up frequency, carrier and calibration gas usage, and power and utility consumption.
• Develop and review design documents including flow schemes and P&IDs for gas chromatographs, oxygen analyzers, NDIR, and CEMS sample conditioning systems.
• Produce hook-up drawings, cooler calculations, instrument datasheets and specifications, general arrangement and layout drawings for analyzer shelters and cabinets, utility and process interconnection drawings, cause-and-effect charts, electrical wiring and single-line diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Design safety, fire and gas, HVAC, and operational logic/interlock systems for hazardous areas.
• Handle project planning and coordination by reviewing contract documents, identifying risks, defining mitigation steps, joining kick-off and project review meetings, and coordinating with end users, consultants, EPCs, and OEMs.
• Support standardization of systems, specifications, and sub-vendor-related requirements.
• Assist with internal QA/QC testing of analyzer systems, including OEM analyzer packages.
