Project Director

About the Role

EastPoint Solutions is seeking a forward-thinking Project Director to lead project teams and help ensure delivery against timelines and business goals. This role sits within the executive team and contributes to the company’s strategic direction, revenue performance, and margin targets.

The successful candidate will set up and lead the EastPoint Solutions Project Management Office (ES-PMO), coordinating project management and business analysis resources to deliver agreed outcomes. This includes managing resource support from internal technical teams as well as partner organisations.

You will also be responsible for ensuring projects remain within budget and meet all agreed requirements. The role calls for strong documentation discipline, regular internal and external reporting, and clear communication with stakeholders throughout every phase of delivery through to closure. In addition, the position plays an active role in the sales cycle, supporting both opportunity qualification and presales/sales activities.

Project Leadership

• Help establish a central PMO structure to manage multiple projects, including document control processes and standard documentation templates.
• Work closely with management, sales and presales teams, project staff, partners, vendors, and end users to clarify and align project needs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the platforms currently in EastPoint Solutions’ portfolio, as well as any solutions added in the future.
• Ensure all work aligns with business goals, organisational policies, procedures, and standards.
• Prepare project reports and escalate issues to management when required.
• Plan and forecast resource needs in line with project pipeline growth and presales activity.
• Make sure projects follow established best practices, SOPs, PMO guidelines, and related internal policies.

Project Delivery

• Review project opportunities and requirements with clients, executives, technical teams, and partner organisations.
• Create project plans covering scope, staffing, timelines, communication approach, testing, and maintenance.
• Build and lead project teams to delivery.
• Oversee every phase of project execution.
• Keep work on track and ensure deadlines are met.
• Develop project budgets and monitor spending against them as closely as possible.
• Track milestones, deliverables, and any change requests.
• Act as the main point of communication for updates, progress, and key project changes.
• Hand over completed solutions to clients.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring extensive senior leadership and programme delivery experience, along with strong knowledge of enterprise technology environments and project governance.

• At least 10 years of experience in senior management positions.
• At least 15 years of experience in project or programme management.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a closely related subject.
• Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented and organised.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of MSP ticketing and alert management systems.
• Deep understanding of multiple project management methodologies.
• Solid grasp of the software development life cycle.
• Strong knowledge of on-premise and cloud-based enterprise solutions, data, and system integration.
• Strong hands-on understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, and related platform ecosystems.
