Role Overview
This role is focused on protecting store pricing accuracy and keeping all shelf tags, signs, and price changes aligned across departments. The position helps create a dependable shopping experience by correcting pricing issues, supporting compliant store operations, and delivering prompt, courteous service. It also plays a part in maintaining an inclusive workplace that respects different backgrounds and experiences.
Primary Duties
The position handles store pricing integrity, including processing price updates, identifying discrepancies, and fixing incorrect shelf labels and signage. It involves running test scans on merchandise to confirm correct pricing, item descriptions, department placement, and tax status. The role also supports inventory-related organization and helps ensure products are stored at the correct temperature with required logs maintained.
In addition, the specialist works with store and department leadership to implement pricing changes effectively, keep operations compliant, and support customer service standards. The job also includes completing routine administrative tasks such as communications, online training, and price file updates.
Safety, Compliance, and Food Handling
This position requires strict attention to safety, sanitation, food handling, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include following USDA, Country of Origin Labeling (COOL), and Department of Agriculture requirements, carrying out recalls and withdrawals quickly, reporting hazards and incidents, and supporting safe work practices for all associates. The role also involves ensuring equipment is maintained, hazardous assessments are available, and protective equipment is used when required.

Other duties may be assigned as needed. The role requires working in varied conditions, including indoor, outdoor, cold, freezing, heated, and wet or humid environments. The work can involve repetitive movement, standing or walking for extended periods, and handling equipment and materials. There may also be exposure to slippery floors, sharp objects, loud noise, dust, fumes, sprays, cleaning chemicals, and other irritants.
Qualifications
Preferred education is a High School diploma or GED. Relevant supervisory experience of 3 to 6 years minimum is preferred, while no prior experience is required for the education section. The role requires English, with English and Spanish preferred.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be authorized to work in the United States or able to obtain that authorization, and successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and a background check. Strong customer service ability, solid interpersonal/motivational/communication skills, and comfort using computer applications needed for departmental operations are required.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding retail role. It requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, pull up to 250 lbs, and use cleaning supplies, office tools, pricing equipment, scanners, scales, and material-handling equipment. Personal protective equipment such as goggles, gloves, and a back brace may be necessary.
Work Schedule and Travel
The shift pattern is varied. Travel is occasional, and overnight travel is not required.
