About the role

Woodside Energy is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join its high-performing Perth head office team. This is a 2-year fixed-term contract supporting global payroll operations for employees across five continents.

Key responsibilities

The role involves ensuring payroll is processed correctly and on time, with duties including:

  • Handling routine payroll transactions to keep employee data accurate and up to date.
  • Completing payroll tasks within the monthly timetable and in line with Woodside and legal requirements to support timely and efficient benefits delivery.
  • Supporting payroll processing activities such as employee terminations, superannuation reconciliation, and STP reporting.
  • Responding to business queries and issues, and escalating matters to the Payroll Lead when needed.

Experience in the following areas would be beneficial, though not mandatory:

  • Reconciliation work.
  • Complex payroll calculations, including overpayments and underpayments.
  • Superannuation calculations.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have solid end-to-end payroll experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The role calls for:

  • Prior experience using SAP or EC/ECP, which is strongly preferred.
  • The ability to organise work effectively and meet deadlines.
  • A strong respect for confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to manage several issues at once and complete tasks through to resolution.
