Role Overview
Bar Home is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team. Prior experience is not required, as full training will be provided to help you develop the skills needed for the role.
What the Role Requires
- Keep a sharp focus on detail and consistently uphold high standards.
- Stay well organised and manage time effectively.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and colleagues.
Main Duties
- Carry out the daily cleaning of kitchen floors and surfaces.
- Keep cleaning checklists current and ensure they are signed off once tasks are completed.
- Maintain cleanliness in food storage areas.
- Wash plates, cutlery, and kitchen tools.
- Clear kitchen waste from bins and dispose of it correctly.
- Clean and look after cooking equipment, including cookers and grills.
- Assist the chef with simple food prep tasks such as peeling and cutting fruit and vegetables.
