Schwarz Digits provides the technology backbone for digital independence in Europe. As the IT and digital division of the Schwarz Group, it builds and runs the IT infrastructure used by Lidl, Kaufland, Schwarz Produktion, and PreZero, while also serving external customers across Europe in their digital transformation. This position sits within the IT Cloud Services area at the Heilbronn site and is intended for candidates at an early career stage. The role combines infrastructure work, operational reliability, and technical responsibility in a data center environment.

You will work at the intersection of speed and stability: the environment offers short decision paths, room to shape your work, and the support of a large, secure corporate foundation.

Key duties

• Support the planning, enhancement, and ongoing refinement of the data center IT infrastructure.
• Take responsibility for server infrastructure and application operations within the data center environment.
• Install and maintain servers and applications.
• Keep track of the server and application lifecycle and carry out migrations when needed.
• Investigate technical issues and resolve faults.
• Set up new systems and bring them into productive use.
• Create and maintain internal documentation.
• Help ensure that IT compliance requirements are met.
• Contribute to maintaining system availability.

Profile

• A completed IT apprenticeship, such as training in system integration, is preferred; relevant professional experience in a similar environment is also welcome.
• You bring solid knowledge of the Windows Server environment, including troubleshooting, solution finding, and emergency remediation, as well as application deployment.
• You are highly motivated to keep developing your skills over time.
• You combine a strong sense of responsibility and duty with a high level of trustworthiness.
• You communicate fluently in German and have good English skills.
• You enjoy working independently and in a structured manner.
