Role Overview

Allied Universal is hiring for a janitorial role focused on keeping assigned spaces clean, safe, and well maintained. The position covers all-purpose cleaning and preservation work within a single building or across multiple client locations. Because the exact duties can vary based on client needs, flexibility is important.

The schedule is full time, with multiple shifts available. Pay is $12 per hour and payment is issued weekly.

Key Duties

• Keep all floor areas clean by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming as needed.
• Use cleaning chemicals and powered equipment correctly to avoid damaging floors or other surfaces.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, conference rooms, hallways, and entry areas.
• Remove waste from trash containers and operate a compactor when required for certain materials.
• Wash windows, glass panels, and mirrors using suitable tools and cleaning products.
• Spot-clean carpeted areas and help with carpet shampooing and extraction work.
• Restock paper goods and sanitary supplies.
• Work according to the housekeeping schedule.
• Operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers when needed.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned based on the scope of work or customer requirements.

Qualifications

Applicants should have either a high school diploma or equivalent, or at least 6 months of experience in a janitorial-type role. Training will be provided on the job. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions are important.

Preferred Background

Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial work is preferred, along with familiarity with custodial methods and commercial cleaning standards. Experience with floor maintenance techniques such as buffing and waxing, or work in industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance, is an advantage.
