Role overview
We are seeking an entry-level IT Support Officer who is eager to solve problems, support end users, and help keep day-to-day technology operations running reliably. This position is suited to someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, learning new systems, and delivering helpful, professional support.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for technical assistance related to hardware, software, and core IT systems.
- Investigate issues raised through help desk requests and support tickets, then resolve them in a timely manner.
- Set up, configure, and look after computers, devices, and business applications.
- Support workplace connectivity, printers, and other office technology.
- Create and manage user accounts, as well as system access permissions across internal platforms.
- Keep IT records up to date, including documentation, asset lists, and support logs.
- Partner with internal teams to maintain secure and efficient IT operations.
- Assist with upgrades, routine maintenance, and technology improvement projects.
Requirements
- A genuine interest in IT support and technology.
- Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, or Linux operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and computer hardware.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or comparable productivity tools is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting ability and a practical approach to solving issues.
- Good written and verbal communication, along with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team setting.
- A willingness to learn new technologies and strengthen technical skills over time.
