About the Role
This full-time on-site Human Resources Admin role is based in Davis, California. The position supports day-to-day HR operations, helps keep onboarding running smoothly, maintains compliance records, and acts as a coordination point for new hires, managers, and internal teams. It is well suited to someone with prior HR or HR-adjacent administrative experience who wants to build further expertise in a fast-moving environment. The pay range for this role is $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, with room for advancement depending on experience and performance.
Qualifications
Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience in human resources or a related administrative role that supports HR functions. A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a similar field is preferred. Strong computer literacy is important, including confidence with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS tools. Spanish bilingual ability is an advantage, and strong English communication skills are required. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage several priorities at once.
Responsibilities
The HR Admin will handle a variety of administrative and coordination tasks that support the HR team and employee lifecycle.
- Coordinate onboarding for new hires, including background checks, equipment requests, and workspace or office setup.
- Partner with managers to plan and roll out new-hire orientation schedules for a smooth first-day experience.
- Organize monthly Local HR Support team meetings and help train the team so HR services are delivered effectively.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics, maintain employee personnel files, and manage compliance documentation.
- Process and track I-9 and E-Verify items, along with UI responses and EDD claim-related documentation.
- Support legal updates, policy revisions, and compliance audits under the guidance of the HR Operations Manager.
- Draft and share internal communications about policy changes, organizational updates, and employee announcements.
- Assist with recruiting tasks such as ATS data entry, interview scheduling, and candidate follow-up.
