Role overview
We are seeking a reliable Housekeeping Assistant to join the Hotel Services team at The Lister Hospital. This full-time, permanent position is central to keeping patient rooms, treatment areas and shared environments clean, safe and welcoming. The role is practical, visible and important to the patient experience, helping maintain a calm and hygienic setting for patients, visitors and staff.
Working pattern
This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week. Shifts run between 06:30 and 22:00, across 5 days out of 7, including weekends.
Key duties
In this role, you will support the smooth day-to-day running of the hospital by carrying out cleaning and housekeeping tasks across a variety of spaces. Your work will help ensure that all areas remain tidy, safe and presented to a high standard.
Main activities
- Clean patient rooms, communal areas, public spaces and staff areas to a high standard.
- Help maintain a pleasant, orderly and hygienic hospital environment.
- Work alongside clinical and non-clinical teams to support daily operations.
- Carry out specific tasks allocated by your supervisor or another authorised person.
- Complete any additional duties assigned as part of the role.
- Attend required training every year.
