Role Overview
The Head Chef will take ownership of day-to-day kitchen performance in Doha, Qatar, ensuring smooth operations, consistent food quality, and strong cost discipline. This position requires hands-on leadership, close coordination with the Executive Chef and restaurant management, and strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and company standards.
Operational Management
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to make sure reports, schedules, standard recipes, menu documents, food presentation images, and all related correspondence are accurate and delivered on time.
- Run restaurant kitchen operations within planned food cost targets while still delivering the expected guest experience.
- Manage daily kitchen shift activity in line with all Food & Beverage policies, procedures, and operating standards.
- Forecast weekly production requirements and share the day-to-day needs with the kitchen team.
- Track and control food expenditure in accordance with management goals.
- Handle purchasing-related activities and make sure the supply chain follows company expectations.
- Support and oversee monthly stock counts together with the restaurant manager.
- Ensure correct purchasing, receiving, and storage practices are followed at all times.
- Keep kitchen equipment in good working condition and reduce avoidable breakage.
Food Quality & Compliance
- Make sure hygiene, sanitation, and food safety requirements are always followed.
- Check the condition and quality of both raw ingredients and cooked dishes against established standards.
