About the role
This front office position is part of the Rooms & Guest Services Operations team in Mumbai. It is a full-time, non-management role focused on creating a smooth, welcoming arrival and stay experience for guests while supporting day-to-day front desk and guest services operations.
The role is aligned with Marriott Hotels and JW Marriott’s service culture, where thoughtful hospitality, professionalism, and guest care are central to the job.
Key responsibilities
- Handle guest arrivals and departures, including check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and requests for room changes or late check-outs.
- Take care of payment processing, room key activation or replacement, and billing verification or corrections when needed.
- Coordinate with relevant teams when rooms are not ready, and work with housekeeping to stay updated on room status and guest issues.
- Maintain guest records and filing, operate the switchboard, and manage daily reports, contingency lists, and credit card authorization reports.
- Provide guests with directions, local information, messages, transportation arrangements, and assistance with calls, requests, questions, and concerns.
- Manage cash handling activities such as banking at shift start and end, processing checks, vouchers, paid-outs, charges, and giving correct change.
- Inform Loss Prevention or Security about any theft-related reports.
- Follow company procedures, protect confidential information, safeguard company assets, and report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to the manager.
- Maintain a professional appearance, communicate clearly, support teammates, and uphold quality standards.
- Carry out additional duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No prior related work experience is required.
- No supervisory experience is needed.
- No specific license or certification is required.
- Ability to remain on your feet or move around for long periods.
- Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
