About the role

This position plays a key role in preparing persuasive responses for pitches, proposals, RFIs, and RFPs. You will work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to bring clarity, structure, and momentum to important opportunities, ensuring AKQA showcases its strengths in a distinctive and high-quality way.

What you will do

  • Run the full pursuit cycle for new business opportunities, from initial qualification through final submission.
  • Work with Growth leadership to set pursuit direction, define win themes, and choose the right response strategy.
  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, workstreams, and ownership trackers to keep pursuits on schedule.
  • Serve as the main internal contact during active pursuits, keeping teams aligned and moving forward.
  • Bring together contributors from Strategy, Creative, Experience, Technology, and Client Services.
  • Organize kickoff meetings, brainstorming sessions, status check-ins, and rehearsal sessions to sustain quality and pace.
  • Coordinate the preparation of strong RFP, RFI, proposal, and presentation materials.
  • Help shape narratives, case studies, and tailored content that reflect AKQA’s approach, capabilities, and values.
  • Make sure all deliverables are accurate, polished, and submitted on time.
  • Juggle several opportunities at once in a fast-moving environment while setting priorities effectively.
  • Collect input from internal stakeholders and potential clients to understand results and refine future pursuits.
  • Document learnings, templates, and best practices to strengthen and improve the pursuit process over time.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in pursuit management, proposal management, business development, or a similar discipline. Experience in a creative agency, consultancy, digital company, or another high-speed environment is preferred.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable managing several deadlines at once, and able to communicate ideas clearly in writing. You should feel confident preparing presentation decks and client-facing documents, and be proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

You should stay composed under pressure, work well with senior stakeholders and diverse teams, and understand what makes a pitch commercially strong and persuasive. A proactive, solution-focused mindset and a genuine interest in creativity, innovation, and high-quality work are important.
