Introduction
A major international energy and commodities trading organisation is looking for a Global System Administrator in Singapore. This role supports a demanding regional technology landscape that includes enterprise infrastructure and hybrid cloud services such as Microsoft Azure. It is a practical, hands-on position for a seasoned systems specialist who can operate at scale, drive technical initiatives, coordinate with vendors, and help improve processes. It suits someone who enjoys ownership, pace, and complex technical challenges.
What you will do
- Manage and improve a wide-ranging infrastructure environment covering Windows Server, VMware virtualisation, Microsoft Azure, enterprise storage, backup systems, directory services, messaging tools, and modern workplace platforms.
- Handle day-to-day server administration, patching, disaster recovery, identity and access management, collaboration services, hybrid cloud operations, data centre coordination, automation, security strengthening, and operational monitoring.
- Take ownership of infrastructure projects from planning through execution, working with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and professional services partners.
- Maintain accurate runbooks, standard operating procedures, handover documentation, and other technical records.
What we are looking for
- Extensive experience supporting enterprise-scale systems infrastructure.
- Strong practical knowledge of Windows Server administration, virtualisation, Microsoft Azure, directory services, messaging systems, and cloud environments.
- Hands-on exposure to scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell or Python.
- Experience with endpoint administration, identity governance, backup and disaster recovery, and monitoring platforms.
- Working knowledge of hybrid cloud setups, security best practices, network fundamentals, and virtual desktop infrastructure.
- An organised, self-directed professional who can balance operational support, project work, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
