Role overview

This position is with a globally known interactive entertainment company whose online games attract hundreds of millions of players across several titles. The frontend and client engineering groups are responsible for the web products and in-app experiences that those players use every day, making this a chance to shape refined, high-performance user interfaces at very large scale.

Key responsibilities

Create and support responsive frontend experiences for both web and client-side products with strong attention to speed and polish.
Turn design direction and product needs into frontend code that is clean, maintainable, and covered by tests.
Work alongside backend engineers to define interfaces and integrate with APIs.
Strengthen performance, accessibility, and monitoring practices across frontend systems.
Take part in unit testing, integration testing, automated build processes, and deployment workflows.
Help shape frontend standards, shared components, and engineering best practices across the team.

Working arrangement

This is a full-time remote role based in Australia. The candidate should be able to overlap reasonably with the client’s core collaboration hours.

Required experience and skills

Upper-intermediate to fluent spoken and written English, with the ability to hold real-time conversations.
At least 5 years of full-time hands-on experience in frontend software engineering.
Strong experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.
Solid command of TypeScript as well as modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Experience working with RESTful APIs and collaborating closely with backend teams.
Good understanding of frontend performance, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
Experience with testing, automated build systems, and deployment pipelines.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and design stakeholders.

Preferred background

Experience building real-time or high-traffic consumer applications.
Background in gaming, live-service products, or interactive media.
Familiarity with build tools, telemetry, and analytics pipelines.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
