Role overview
This opportunity is with a global industrial equipment and solutions business that is looking for a commercially sharp, strategically minded divisional leader to guide a successful international unit into its next stage of expansion and change. The role carries full responsibility for the division’s strategy, day-to-day performance and financial outcomes.
The position is suited to a senior executive who can deliver durable growth, deepen customer relationships, improve commercial results and lead teams across a complex global environment.
Key responsibilities
- Set and deliver the division’s growth agenda, turning strategy into action to raise revenue, profitability and market position.
- Take complete ownership of P&L performance and ensure strong financial discipline, operational effectiveness and clear accountability.
- Develop capable, high-performing teams and promote a culture built on engagement, teamwork and ongoing improvement.
- Place customers at the center of decision-making by building a strong understanding of client needs and market demand.
- Improve commercial outcomes by refining market entry plans, channel strategy and sales performance.
- Shape product and innovation direction in close partnership with product development and engineering teams.
- Enhance operational efficiency across manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain and asset use.
- Spot and pursue major growth opportunities such as investments, acquisitions and business expansion.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, distribution partners and stakeholders across the global business.
- Lead change initiatives and transformation efforts so the division stays competitive and positioned for long-term success.
Requirements
- Extensive senior leadership experience in industrial manufacturing, engineered products, capital equipment, or a similar B2B setting.
- Proven background leading a business unit or division with full P&L accountability and responsibility for growth and profit.
- Strong commercial judgement, including hands-on experience creating and executing effective go-to-market and distribution strategies.
- A strong record of delivering lasting revenue growth, better operational performance and business transformation.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams across commercial, operational, manufacturing, product and supply chain areas.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to turn market insights into strategic decisions.
- Experience working in a global matrix organisation and collaborating well with international stakeholders.
- Excellent financial understanding, strategic thinking and analytical ability.
- Strong leadership presence, communication skills and stakeholder management capability.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or a closely related field is required.
- An MBA or other advanced business qualification is preferred.
- English fluency is essential; knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage.
