Role overview

Corning is hiring a Digital & IT Support Analyst for its Berlin location. The role supports business processes and digital solutions, improves how IT systems are used, configured, and enhanced, and helps maintain accurate data and stable day-to-day operations. It combines technical engineering work with hands-on support across onsite and regional environments, including manufacturing systems, within a globally distributed IT team.

The position is based at the Commercial Headquarter in Berlin Mitte, and weekly on-site presence at the Technology Center in Berlin Adlershof is also required.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a go-to specialist for IT systems and solutions covering applications, infrastructure, and end-user technologies.
• Convert business needs into technical configurations and workable system solutions.
• Improve digital workflows and deliver quick wins using M365, Power BI, and AI-enabled tools.
• Support IT environments across onsite and remote locations, including Windows, Android, iOS, Wyse clients, barcode scanners, PLCs, and related systems.
• Handle installation, setup, and troubleshooting for both hardware and software.
• Investigate incidents and service requests, resolve them where possible, and escalate when needed.
• Address cybersecurity issues in line with corporate security requirements.
• Provide guidance, training, and user enablement for IT systems and business processes.

Additional responsibilities

• Maintain documentation and records accurately.
• Support employee onboarding and process orientation.
• Contribute to Digital & IT projects and global initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors and external partners as required.

Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist for system integration, a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in IT support and/or engineering-related roles.
• Strong working knowledge of the M365 ecosystem and cloud-based applications.
• Practical experience supporting business systems such as CRM, ERP, and MES.
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, networking, servers, and cloud environments.
• Hands-on exposure to Windows domain environments, including command-line and scripting tools.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Preferred skills

• Experience with scripting or modern programming languages, plus data and automation work.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and deployment/imaging tools.
• Understanding of process optimization and digitalization methods.
• Additional language knowledge such as Polish or Spanish is beneficial.
• High standards of integrity and confidentiality.
• Experience using IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow.
