About the role

Future Secure AI is hiring a Senior Data Scientist for its core Platform Team in Austin, Texas. In this Applied Scientist role, you will help improve the AI models behind the company’s proactive intelligence capabilities. You will work with experienced engineers and scientists to apply machine learning, data mining, and statistical methods to build, deploy, and refine a platform designed for smooth collaboration between humans and AI. The position offers the opportunity to work on intelligent interaction systems and influence the future of work.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and improve machine learning models that understand user intent, anticipate workflow needs, and strengthen collaboration between people and AI, while exploring new algorithms, techniques, and data sources.
• Gather, clean, and analyze large sets of interaction data from multiple sources to uncover patterns and create high-value features for AI models.
• Partner with engineering teams to release models into production and keep tracking their performance, including identifying improvement opportunities and retraining when needed.
• Keep up with developments in machine learning, data science, and human-computer interaction, and apply relevant advances to improve the platform.
• Design and run experiments, including A/B tests, to measure the impact of new models and features and improve user experience and collaboration.
• Present technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, and work closely with engineers, UX researchers, and product managers.
• Support platform architecture efforts to ensure models integrate smoothly, scale effectively, and run efficiently within the broader system.
• Use data to study how people interact with AI and to predict needs before they are explicitly stated.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as an Applied Scientist, Data Scientist, or Machine Learning Engineer.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Strong command of machine learning methods such as regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning.
• Hands-on experience with Python and ML tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Practical background in data mining, data cleaning, and feature engineering.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Preferred: a master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Preferred: experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
