Job overview

The Community Mobilizer will drive outreach and local engagement to identify prospective candidates in the assigned region and motivate them to join short-term skill training programs at the Hosur centre. The role supports a B2B training initiative funded by a multinational company.

Key responsibilities

• Locate suitable candidates for technical trades and guide them into skill-development programs.
• Carry out field activities such as baseline surveys and awareness campaigns across target communities.
• Reach out to potential participants through college sessions, meetings with government and administrative stakeholders, door-to-door outreach, canopy-based promotion, focus group discussions, and presence in gram panchayats, villages, and other high-footfall areas.
• Gather data, connect with young people, and counsel them on vocational training opportunities.
• Build relationships with school principals and teachers to obtain lists of potential students.

Requirements

• A graduate degree is required.
• Prior exposure of 4 to 5 years in community mobilization is needed.
• Strong communication ability in Tamil, Kannada, and English is essential.
• The candidate should be able to commute to or relocate to Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
• A valid driving licence is preferred.
• Willingness to travel full time is required.

Additional information

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. Health insurance is provided. The position requires in-person work and extensive travel for outreach activities.
