Role Overview

We’re looking for an organized, analytical Category Planner to help drive performance and expansion for the Beauty category. The position focuses on inventory strategy, sales evaluation, demand planning, assortment optimization, and collaboration across teams to keep products available and the category performing well.

Work Arrangement

This role is based in the Miami area and follows a hybrid structure. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with 4 days in the office and 1 day working remotely. The hybrid arrangement begins after 90 days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review sales patterns, stock positions, and customer demand to support category growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain inventory, replenishment, and demand forecasts for Beauty products.
  • Work closely with merchandising, purchasing, marketing, and supply chain partners to improve assortment and product availability.
  • Track product results, spot improvement opportunities, and suggest actions to strengthen category performance.
  • Support promotional calendars and seasonal product introductions.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and business insights for leadership.
  • Help ensure inventory goals, service targets, and financial objectives are met.
  • Monitor market movements, competitor activity, and consumer behavior in the beauty sector.
  • Assist with vendor communication and product lifecycle management.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Merchandising, or a related discipline is preferred. The ideal candidate brings 3 or more years of experience in category planning or merchandise planning within fast-moving consumer goods, preferably travel retail. Experience in beauty, cosmetics, skincare, or broader consumer goods is strongly preferred. Advanced Excel capability is required, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Familiarity with ERP platforms, forecasting tools, or retail planning software is an advantage. The role also requires the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
