About the Location

The role is based at Four Seasons Hotel Doha, a beachfront urban retreat in the heart of Qatar’s capital. The hotel has been reimagined with contemporary elegance and sea views, while staying true to its Qatari identity. Originally opened in April 2005 in the city’s business district, the property includes 237 rooms, 20 unbranded townhouse villas, 10 food and beverage venues including the world’s largest Nobu restaurant, large banqueting and outside catering operations, five pools, a private beach, a fitness center, and a spa and wellness center with hydrotherapy features such as an ice room, colour therapy room, steam room, and hydrotherapy pool. The hotel was renovated in 2019 and reopened in March 2020.

Role Overview

The Bar Porter plays an important support role within the Food & Beverage team by helping bartenders deliver fast, efficient, and high-quality beverage service in line with Four Seasons standards. This position keeps the bar fully supplied, maintains cleanliness, and supports service flow so guests receive seamless attention.

Key Duties

• Assist bartenders by ensuring the bar has the supplies needed for smooth service.
• Stock and replenish ice, glassware, garnishes, soda, beer, and other beverage items.
• Make sure liquor requisitions are completed accurately and according to specifications.
• Keep the bar area clean and orderly.
• Support table bussing when needed.

Required Profile

Applicants should present themselves well and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues. A solid understanding of beverages, especially beer, wine, and liquor, is preferred. The role involves standing continuously for up to 8 hours per day and lifting as much as 50 lbs. A confident, outgoing attitude and a proactive approach to requests are important. Candidates must also be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• General food knowledge is expected.
• Strong personal presentation and interpersonal communication are important.
• Ability to perform the role to Four Seasons standards is required.
• Helpful service habits such as discreet table clearing, polishing silverware, refilling condiments, and cleaning crumbs from tables are part of the expected skill set.
• English reading, writing, and speaking ability is required.
• A Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management is preferred.
