Role overview
Macpac is looking for an Allocation Analyst to join its retail planning function in Christchurch, supporting stock allocation across the New Zealand and Australian store network. The role sits within a team of three Allocation Analysts and reports to the Allocation & Store Assortment Manager. It is a collaborative, commercially focused position where data, stakeholder input, and business priorities all play a part in shaping store performance.
Key impact areas
- Oversee stock movement and improve allocation decisions across stores in Australia and New Zealand.
- Use performance data to place the right products in the right locations.
- Interpret results and turn analysis into practical recommendations.
- Work with ERP platforms and Excel to generate insights that support decision-making.
- Partner with stores, area managers, and other internal teams to deliver outcomes.
- Handle priorities, resolve issues, and contribute to ongoing improvement.
What you will bring
- A strong analytical approach with confidence in working through complex data.
- Advanced Excel capability, including data handling, reporting, and analysis.
- Experience using ERP, merchandising, or supply chain systems and tools.
- The ability to convert data into commercially useful solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across different levels.
- An organised, adaptable, and proactive working style.
- Retail, allocation, or supply chain experience involving large datasets.
