Tamil Transcription & Annotation Executive Internship

About the internship

This remote internship is for Tamil-speaking candidates interested in AI data collection, speech technology, transcription, and annotation work. The role involves turning Tamil audio into precise written text and completing annotation tasks according to project instructions.

What you will do

• Transcribe Tamil audio recordings accurately.
• Carry out audio annotation, segmentation, speaker labeling, and metadata tagging.
• Spot unclear audio, background noise, speaker transitions, and transcription mistakes.
• Work in line with project-specific transcription and annotation rules.
• Keep accuracy, consistency, and output levels high.
• Review and polish transcription files before sharing them.
• Track completed work and project status.
• Stay in touch with project managers about corrections and feedback.
• Protect the confidentiality of client data and audio files.
• Finish assigned work within project timelines.

Who can apply

Applications are open only to candidates who can work from home, can begin between 2 July 2026 and 6 August 2026, are available for the full 2-month duration, and have the relevant skills and interest for the role.

Requirements

• Strong command of Tamil, including listening, reading, and writing.
• Ability to perform Tamil transcription and audio/data annotation tasks.
• Good listening ability, proofreading skills, and attention to detail.
• Basic computer knowledge and time management skills.
• Access to a laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection.
• Capacity to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Native or fluent Tamil speakers will be preferred.
• Previous exposure to transcription, annotation, AI data collection, or language technology projects is an advantage.
• Freshers with excellent Tamil language skills may also apply.
• Applicants should be responsible, punctual, and focused on quality.

Stipend

The internship offers a monthly stipend of ₹7,000 to ₹24,000. The pay includes a fixed component of ₹5,000 to ₹15,000 per month and an incentive component of ₹2,000 to ₹9,000 per month.

Additional information

The internship lasts for 2 months and can be started immediately. The application deadline is 2 August 2026 at 11:59:59 PM. The role is based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, but the work mode is work from home. There are 15 openings.
