Team Overview
You would join the Global Service Delivery team, which supports office infrastructure and employee connectivity across 10 countries. Role Summary
The position is for a Workday Time Tracking specialist who will act as the main subject-matter expert for the Time Tracking module. The focus is to keep the module stable, scalable, and aligned with payroll accuracy and legal compliance. In addition to this core area, the role also contributes to other HRIS domains and people technology platforms to strengthen the wider HR systems landscape.
The role may be based in Bangkok, Gurgaon, or Kuala Lumpur, and relocation support is provided. The listing also references Doha, Qatar as the location.
What You Will Do
- Set up, maintain, and continuously improve Workday Time Tracking, including time entry rules, validation logic, work schedules, calculations, and compliance-related settings.
- Work with cross-functional partners to convert business needs into scalable Workday solutions that improve the employee experience.
- Manage reporting, calculated fields, and security configurations so that time entries, exceptions, overtime, and payroll-impacting data are accurate and easy to review.
- Create and maintain documentation such as SOPs, configuration references, and process maps to improve knowledge sharing and team continuity.
- Support additional Workday areas and internal tools as project priorities and personal development goals require.
- Keep track of new Workday releases and broader people technology trends, and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Contribute to other internal systems and technologies beyond Workday as part of the larger People Technology ecosystem.
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of practical Workday experience, including at least 2 to 3 years specifically working on Time Tracking configuration, rules, and reporting.
- Strong depth in Time Tracking setup, such as time entry codes, calendars, schedules, validation logic, overtime calculations, shift premiums, holiday rules, and compliance design.
- Advanced Reporting and Calculated Fields expertise, with the ability to build complex reports and analyze time-related data across domains.
- Solid understanding of HCM basics, including core business processes like Hire, Change Job, and Termination, along with configuration concepts such as condition rules, organizations, hierarchies, and custom objects.
- Working knowledge of Workday Security, including constrained and unconstrained roles as well as segmented security.
- Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability, with attention to process efficiency and data accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and translate business needs into system design.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Business Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Workday integrations for Time Tracking, Absence, or Payroll, including EIBs, PECI, or custom interfaces.
- Experience with overtime, shift differential, or country-specific labor rule configurations in Workday.
- Familiarity with test frameworks, release management, or regression testing for time-related logic.
- Background in international or fast-moving work environments.
- Workday certification in Time Tracking, Payroll, or HCM.
- Interest in developing skills beyond Workday into other people technology tools and platforms.
