Program Overview
This is a paid vocational training program for fresh high school graduates under the department’s “Masar 33” initiative. It runs for 7 months and is designed to prepare and qualify UAE nationals for a future role as a customs inspector. The program covers both training and associated costs.
General Eligibility Conditions
- Applicants must be UAE nationals.
- A higher secondary school certificate, or an equivalent qualification, is required with at least 60% marks.
- Candidates must be 25 years of age or below.
- Male applicants must have completed national service in the UAE, or provide valid proof of exemption.
- Applicants must not be receiving any scholarship or study sponsorship from another entity during the training period.
- Applicants must not be permanently or temporarily employed by any government or private organization inside or outside the country.
- Candidates must not have been dismissed from any educational institution for disciplinary reasons or for repeated absenteeism without an acceptable excuse, and must not have been terminated from any government or private workplace for disciplinary reasons.
- A good conduct and behavior certificate from the relevant authorities is required.
- Applicants must successfully clear the personal and behavioral interview conducted by the department.
- To pass the physical assessments, male applicants must be at least 165 cm tall and female applicants at least 155 cm tall; the body mass index (BMI) must not exceed 30.
- Applicants must achieve at least EMSAT 700 and IELTS 5.
- Required documents include a valid passport copy, family book, valid UAE ID, a certified copy of the secondary school certificate (equivalency approved by the relevant education zone in the UAE, or officially attested if obtained outside the UAE) showing the percentage of passing marks, and a personal photograph.
- Candidates must sign the vocational training contract and comply with all terms stated in it.
- Applicants must agree to any additional conditions set by the department.
