Job overview
Titan Traffic Control is hiring a Traffic Control Agent to help establish and manage safe traffic flow around active construction zones in Prince Edward Island, Canada. In this role, you will work alongside construction crews to keep vehicles and pedestrians away from areas where they could create hazards for workers or disrupt project operations.
The role reports to the Field Supervisor or Operations Manager. You must already have certification in basic traffic safety practices and be able to demonstrate solid on-the-job capability as a Traffic Control Agent. The core purpose of the position is to build and maintain a protected work zone so traffic never becomes a safety risk to the crew.
Typical duties include placing cones, barriers, and directional signage, signaling traffic to stop or proceed carefully, and staying alert to changing site and roadway conditions at all times. Full compliance with safety rules is required.
Work scope and commuting details
The position involves coordinating with foremen at the site and carrying out traffic control and flagging duties at assigned locations. This also includes setting up, maintaining, and dismantling temporary work zones.
Travel from home to the job site or designated meeting point, and the return trip afterward, is considered ordinary commuting time rather than a primary duty of the job. If a company vehicle is used for commuting, driving must be done safely and in accordance with company expectations.

- Work closely with the on-site foreman to coordinate job activities.
- Check the start time and location details provided by the office scheduler through the company app.
- Operate a company vehicle responsibly when using it for travel to and from job sites.
- Read and follow the safety manual and employee handbook.
- Take on other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid driver’s licence with a clean record is preferred, and it is required if you choose to commute in a company vehicle.
- You need a smartphone with internet access for scheduling, timekeeping, and communication.
- Strong verbal communication skills are essential.
- You must be able to work outdoors in changing weather, including heat, cold, and rain.
- You should be able to remain standing for the full shift and perform repeated hand and arm movements.
- This job does not include frequent breaks.
- You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- You need the physical ability to perform all flagging duties.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites is required.
- Employees may drive their own vehicles to the job site or meeting location. Riding with coworkers or carpooling is voluntary and solely for convenience.
- You must be able to pass the Traffic Control Agent course, along with any additional training required by the company.
- Anyone who does not follow the stated guidelines may be moved down to the TCP role, with a corresponding reduction in pay.
