Trade Assistant

Role Overview

This position is for a Sandblaster working Monday to Friday in the Greater Perth Area. The shift runs in the morning from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, and the pay rate is $39.34 to $45.00 per hour plus superannuation.

Key Duties

• Use sandblasting equipment to strip rust, paint, scale, and other unwanted surface material, while choosing the right blasting media, pressure, and nozzle setup to achieve the required finish.
• Check surfaces before and after blasting to confirm quality expectations are met, and set up, maintain, and diagnose issues with the equipment to keep work safe and efficient.
• Follow all workplace safety rules, wear the required personal protective equipment, keep the work area tidy, and assist with other tasks as needed.

What You Need

• Capability to handle demanding physical work in an industrial environment.
• Hands-on background in sandblasting and familiarity with sandblasting tools and machinery.
• A valid driver’s licence is required.
• Must be able to successfully complete a drug and alcohol screening.
• A forklift licence is advantageous but not compulsory.
