Role Summary
The Tour Assistant position is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week within TAG’s touring department. This role supports a range of touring operations and involves working closely with international teams to help deliver company objectives and practical solutions. The work is varied, and the person in this position is expected to take initiative and manage daily tasks with care and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Support the touring team across all areas related to client travel arrangements.
- Build the skills needed to contribute to sales, transaction volume, and margin targets, while reviewing benchmarks, activity tracking, and KPI progress against planned goals.
- Handle emails, calls, and other communications quickly, professionally, and accurately.
- Enter movement-sheet information correctly when requested.
- Follow up with suppliers for client folios and invoices.
- Process credit card payment approvals with accuracy.
- Record transaction and service charges in Majic files so they can be billed appropriately.
- Complete assigned work within deadlines and coordinate with teammates to confirm task requirements are fully understood.
- Respond to team questions and requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Follow TAG Touring processes and standards consistently.
- Identify, report, and help resolve errors or client complaints to reach a suitable outcome.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- An AA/AS or BS/BA degree is preferred.
- At least 1 year of administrative experience in a corporate setting is preferred, along with travel industry exposure if available.
- Comfort working in a fast-changing, high-pressure environment while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills, plus strong verbal and written communication ability.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
