Role Overview
As a Technical Recruiter for Starbase, you will manage the recruiting process end to end and support mission-critical hiring across sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. You will often be the first representative candidates meet, so professionalism, confidence, and enthusiasm are essential. The role calls for both collaboration and independence: you will partner closely with hiring teams while also taking initiative and carrying work through to completion.
What You Will Do
- Partner with hiring teams on staffing needs, new requisitions, hiring plans, and feedback from interviews.
- Review incoming applications and assess candidates against open roles.
- Proactively search for talent, including candidates who are not actively job hunting.
- Share screened candidates with hiring teams and recommend strong matches for interviews.
- Host candidates on site and provide facility tours before interviews.
- Join interviews to help evaluate candidates and capture additional observations.
- Drive the offer stage by coordinating background checks, discussing compensation packages, and issuing offer letters.
- Adjust daily priorities quickly as hiring needs shift and candidate flow changes.
- Keep the recruiting pipeline organized and moving, even in a fast-paced environment.
Basic Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of recruiting experience; or
- An associate degree with at least 2 years of experience; or
- At least 3 years of professional recruiter experience in place of a degree.
Preferred Experience
- Two or more years in technical recruiting.
- Background in in-house recruiting.
- Experience handling high-volume hiring.
- Exposure to recruiting electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineers.
- Experience hiring skilled labor.
- Proven stability and success in prior recruiting roles.
- End-to-end recruiting experience from sourcing through closing.
- Ability to analyze and report recruiting data.
- Judgment to identify top-tier talent within a candidate pool.
- Creativity in outreach methods such as cold calling, networking events, targeted campaigns, and similar approaches.
- Comfort working directly with senior technical leaders, including directors and VPs.
- Strong relationship-building skills with both candidates and hiring managers.
- The ability to present candidates accurately, influence decisions with expertise, and avoid overstatement.
- Comfort working with limited direction while remaining a collaborative team player.
Additional Requirements
- You must be available to work extended hours and weekends when required.
- This role is located in Starbase, Texas, in the Brownsville area, and must be performed fully on site; hybrid or remote arrangements are not available.
