Role Overview

The studio is hiring a Studio Project Manager to oversee the execution of premium residential and hospitality interiors once design has been approved, carrying the work through installation. This position is responsible for making sure the design vision is translated accurately into the built environment with careful attention to timing, budget, quality, and accountability. It is not a design-focused role, but strong interest in interior design and a solid understanding of the field are important. The role demands ownership, dependable follow-through, and clear communication. It is remote-first, but the selected candidate must live in Los Angeles and have dependable car access for site visits, vendor meetings, team meetings, and other project travel.

Reporting Structure

This role reports to the CEO and Principal Designer and sits within the Project Delivery function, covering execution and construction coordination.

Core Scope

The Studio Project Manager is responsible for all post-approval project execution, including scheduling, construction coordination, contractor oversight, site management, and installation. This person serves as the central coordination point to keep projects moving and all stakeholders aligned.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of project schedules from design sign-off through final installation.
• Lead site execution and coordinate construction-related activity.
• Conduct recurring site meetings with contractors and consultants.
• Keep timelines, milestones, and active workstreams on track.
• Coordinate directly with general contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Manage RFIs and field clarification requests.
• Check site conditions against the approved design documentation.
• Spot risks, delays, and conflicts early, then address or escalate them as needed.
• Ensure all execution stays aligned with the approved design intent.
• Act as the main day-to-day point of contact during the delivery phase.
• Share timely updates on schedule status, progress, and project risks.
• Raise issues or changes before they affect the client experience.
• Maintain a consistently professional approach in client communication.
• Coordinate FF&E deliveries with the Procurement Manager.
• Manage installation timing, sequencing, and on-site logistics.
• Confirm the site is ready before deliveries arrive.
• Track punch lists and completion items through closeout.
• Support project handover and final closeout activities.
• Collaborate with the Project Designer to clarify design details when necessary.
• Work with the Procurement Manager to align deliveries with site readiness.
• Escalate design, budget, or client concerns to the CEO and Principal Designer.
• Keep departments aligned so projects continue moving smoothly.
• Use and maintain Google Drive and project management tools such as Materio, GQueues, or similar platforms.
• Apply AI tools and automation workflows to improve scheduling, documentation, communication, and reporting.
• Reduce manual bottlenecks by standardizing processes and improving systems.
• Keep digital project records clean, current, and accessible without relying on one person.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in interior design, luxury residential construction, hospitality, or a related project management role.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and FF&E installation.
• Experience working with contractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Ability to manage several high-value projects at the same time.
• Working familiarity with design documentation, Materio or a similar platform, Google Drive, GQueues or comparable task management tools, and interior design workflows is strongly preferred.

Work Arrangement

This is a remote-first position, but the candidate must be based in Los Angeles and have reliable access to a car for site visits, vendor meetings, internal meetings, and project-related travel.
