Solutions Engineer - Service Provider

About the Role

In this position, you will partner with the Service Provider sales organization in Saudi Arabia to uncover customer needs, shape solution proposals, and architect tailored Cisco offerings that support digital transformation. The role calls for a senior technical specialist who can bring together data center architecture, enterprise networking, cybersecurity, AI, and automation expertise to help customers move toward autonomous, AI-powered networks.

What You Will Do

You will act as a trusted technical advisor and solution architect for one of Cisco’s most important Service Provider accounts. Your work will connect business goals with end-to-end technical strategy across the Cisco portfolio.

• Define and own the overall technology direction across service provider networks, data center, cloud, automation, cybersecurity, and AI-led operations.
• Shape large-scale, highly scalable architectures for data center, enterprise networking, and security with a focus on future-ready autonomous networking.
• Drive AI-based network transformation efforts by using AI/ML and LLM approaches for assurance, planning, optimization, and operational insights.
• Promote agentic AI concepts for closed-loop decisions, intent-based execution, and self-healing network behavior.
• Weave AI capabilities into transport, data center, cloud, and cybersecurity designs.
• Explain how AI can improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen resilience, and enhance the customer experience.
• Lead automation and orchestration strategy using tools such as DNA Center, Nexus Dashboard, Cisco Intersight, and Cisco Crosswork Automation.
• Work with account teams, product leaders, and senior executives to influence roadmaps, investment priorities, and transformation strategy.
• Create and deliver technical proposals, solution architectures, and demos that have strong business impact.
• Support proofs of concept, pilots, and solution validation activities to speed up decisions and adoption.

Required Experience and Expertise

This role needs a strong presales background and deep technical knowledge across routing, switching, data center, cloud, and cybersecurity.

• At least 5 years of experience in presales, consultative selling, or solution architecture roles, with a proven record of designing and deploying complex solutions.
• Hands-on depth in scalable, AI-ready data center architecture, including compute, data center networking, ACI, cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker, CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of enterprise network architecture, including Cisco routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, SASE, AI Ops/ML Ops, and scripting or programming abilities.
• Security architecture experience covering Cisco Secure Access or similar products, Security Service Edge, Zero Trust Network Access, and Firewall as a Service.
• Practical knowledge of AI and automation for networking use cases such as assurance, optimization, planning, and predictive operations.
• Familiarity with LLM-based solutions for operational insight, automation, and decision support.
• Experience positioning or designing agentic AI frameworks for intent-based and autonomous operations.
• Strong command of Cisco architecture across multiple domains, with the ability to connect customer objectives to integrated solutions.
• Ability to present complex ideas in a clear way to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.
• Experience using consultative selling methods, understanding financial pain points, and aligning solutions to business models and value realization.
• Proven collaboration skills with internal engineering, product, customer success, and partner teams.
• Outcome-focused mindset with a strong ability to shape impactful architecture strategies.

Preferred Background

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIE, or comparable vendor certifications, are an advantage.
• Experience with service provider routing and transport, including SR-MPLS and SRv6, is desirable.
• Knowledge of mobility and 5G core network design and evolution is preferred.
• Exposure to advanced assurance architectures such as telemetry-based assurance, AI-driven fault detection, performance analytics, and service visibility is a plus.
• A collaborative, proactive, and adaptable work style with a growth mindset is valued.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, active listening, and presentation skills are important.
• Experience in the Saudi Arabia market is highly desirable, and Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.
• Strong executive presentation and storytelling capability, including CxO-level sessions, vision workshops, and strategy discussions, is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and C-level stakeholders is highly valued.

Work Arrangement and Schedule

This is a full-time hybrid role. The listing also notes a nature of work of hybrid full time. Standard working time is 48 hours per week.
