The role is practical and hands-on, with day-to-day involvement in sorting, moving, preparing, and storing materials while maintaining a clean and orderly working environment.
Working hours follow a 4 on, 4 off pattern. You will be part of a site team where safe working, cooperation, and attention to detail are essential.

- Compact plastic waste and help ready recyclable materials for processing.
- Handle items such as paint tins and aerosols safely and in line with site procedures.
- Sort non-hazardous waste for landfill when needed.
- Store all waste in the correct designated areas to maintain safe site conditions.
- Use a forklift to load and unload vehicles.
- Support drivers during loading and unloading activities.
- Inform the technical team when outbound loads need scheduling or when skips need replacing.
- Complete orders quickly and efficiently.
- Look after plant, equipment, and related site tools.
- Receive deliveries and ensure they are processed properly.
- Help with general housekeeping across the site.
- Follow all safe systems of work at all times.
- Work in a way that protects your own safety and the safety of others.
- Take on other reasonable tasks from the wider site team as required.
