Role summary
The MEP Site Engineer for Plumbing & Drainage will be responsible for organizing, supervising, executing, monitoring, and controlling plumbing and drainage installation activities within MEP works for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Key responsibilities
- Check approved construction drawings and confirm that all required approvals and site documents are in place before work begins.
- Break down plumbing and drainage work packages from the overall MEP schedule and prepare them for site execution.
- Plan manpower, materials, and other site needs, and coordinate timely delivery according to the project timeline.
- Oversee site resources, progress, productivity, and execution quality for plumbing and drainage works.
- Review material needs at site and compare them with the issued bill of materials.
- Lead supervisors, foremen, and charge hands to ensure work is executed as per approved schedules.
- Set work targets and monitor output to ensure the job stays within planned quantities for materials, plant, equipment, and labor.
- Coordinate plumbing and drainage installation activities with subcontractors and manage interface work with other trades.
- Work with client representatives and authority engineers to support smooth site execution.
- Liaise with the stores team to collect materials in line with the project schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years of experience, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in MEP plumbing and drainage installation for residential towers, commercial towers, and industrial buildings.
- At least 2 years of plumbing and drainage MEP experience in the UAE or another GCC country.
- Experience in the ESCO industry is preferred.
