Key responsibilities

• Serve as a key contact for schedulers, traders, and middle office colleagues to help ensure trade accuracy, prompt product movement confirmations, and quick resolution of mismatches.
• Check and process invoices for both payment and receipt while following internal policy and control requirements.
• Carry out pricing checks, settlement computations, and the creation of provisional and final invoices.
• Confirm banking and settlement instructions and assist with validating and onboarding new SSIs in Fenergo.
• Compile settlement packs for payment handling and cash forecasting, making sure all information is complete and accurate.
• Track and validate daily cash movements with counterparties, and investigate as well as resolve cash breaks and failed settlements.
• Handle complex OTC settlement analysis, including reconciliation work, invoice preparation, and settlement confirmations.
• Process FX settlements when needed.
• Spot opportunities to improve processes, support automation work, and help test system enhancements.
• Contribute to special initiatives, including onboarding new products.

Skills and experience

• A degree in business, accounting, or finance is strongly preferred.
• At least 3–4 years of experience in settlements, trade operations, or a similar back-office role within commodities.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities, with the confidence to work effectively across teams.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, formulas, and pivot tables.
• Good decision-making capability and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to adjust priorities and working hours to support global trading activity.
• Exposure to coding or scripting tools such as Python, SQL, or VBA would be an advantage.
