Role Overview
This position is responsible for delivering advanced planning and project controls support to BHIG’s Project Portfolio Organization. The role focuses on keeping schedules accurate, forecasts reliable, and performance reporting timely, while ensuring compliance with BHIG expectations and customer requirements so projects are completed within scope, on time, and within budget.
Planning and Scheduling
- Create and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 or a comparable planning system.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction timelines so they remain aligned with the overall project plan.
- Carry out schedule risk assessments and propose actions to reduce delays or disruptions.
Cost Control and Forecasting
- Build and monitor project budgets, cost projections, and cash flow forecasts.
- Track commitments, actual spending, and budget variations against approved targets.
- Contribute to monthly cost reporting and earned value analysis.
Project Controls Governance
- Apply Air Products and BHIG project controls procedures consistently across the portfolio.
- Maintain reliable progress measurement tools and performance dashboards.
Customer and Stakeholder Management
- Share clear schedule and cost updates with customers and other stakeholders.
- Respond quickly to concerns and ensure that project reporting remains contractually aligned.
Coordination and Change Management
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to verify progress information.
- Support change control activities and evaluate how changes affect schedule and cost.
- Review change requests and fold approved revisions into the baseline plan.
Qualifications and Competencies
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, along with at least 8 years of experience in project planning and controls for oil and gas or petrochemical work. Strong command of Primavera P6, cost control platforms, and EPC delivery methods is expected, and knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards is important. PMP or a similar certification is preferred.
