Role overview
This position is for a Senior Executive in the SGO business unit at Sun Pharma, based in Halol-I, with a job grade of G11B. The role is suited to a pharmacy professional who can manage documentation, compliance, production support, and training activities in a regulated manufacturing environment.
What the role involves
- Act as an authorized signatory and verifier for records such as Batch Manufacturing Records, BMR requisitions, and BMR issuance logbooks.
- Review and sign off documents including protocols, risk assessments, and finished product logbooks where applicable.
- Draft fresh BMRs and update existing BMRs within the required timelines.
- Support change control activities, corrective action planning, and preparation related to new equipment.
- Manage corrective and preventive action activities.
- Ensure in-process control requirements mentioned in BMR and MBMR documents are followed.
- Prepare, revise, and maintain SOPs, BMRs, logbooks, and protocols, and ensure compliance through appropriate training.
- Oversee environmental monitoring system activities and review reports regularly.
- Maintain daily production records and machine utilization data.
- Monitor EMS reports each day, including action and alert limits as well as breakdown-related maintenance follow-up.
- Train technicians and supervisors on new and revised BMRs to support GMP compliance.
- Prepare process performance qualification and process validation protocols, along with study protocols.
- Develop failure mode effect analysis and risk assessments for products and processes.
- Complete functional, cGMP, and other assigned training as per schedule.
- Take on additional duties assigned by the department head after the required training has been completed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required.
- Minimum professional experience of 8 years in a relevant environment.
- Exposure to GMP, cGMP, documentation control, validation, and manufacturing compliance processes is expected.
