Role Overview

The Senior Business Solution Architect is responsible for shaping and overseeing end-to-end architecture for the company’s telecom software portfolio, while also acting as a trusted technical advisor to telecom operator customers. This position supports clients in modernizing architecture, adopting cloud platforms, defining OSS/BSS direction, and integrating complex systems, ensuring that business goals, solution design, and delivery realities stay aligned.

In this senior technical leadership role, the architect establishes architecture principles and reusable reference designs, partners closely with the CTO and engineering teams, and contributes to high-value customer engagements. Strong depth in OSS/BSS, cloud-native design, APIs, and telecom standards is essential to build solutions that are scalable, secure, and ready for future growth.

The role also places significant emphasis on customer-specific solution shaping, executive storytelling, and clear communication of architectural value. The architect must be able to translate technical ideas into business outcomes and present solutions in a way that resonates with both technical and commercial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture leadership for large, mission-critical software platforms, with the ability to express technical decisions in business language.
• Work as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their objectives, constraints, and challenges, then proposing practical solution choices with clear reasoning and impact.
• Design telecom architectures covering OSS/BSS, orchestration, charging, billing, customer management, and integration with network platforms.
• Create end-to-end solution blueprints that span products, integrations, data flows, and operating processes.
• Apply cloud-native principles, microservices, APIs, and event-driven patterns in solution design.
• Guide legacy modernization and complex integration efforts in multi-vendor brownfield environments.
• Define and maintain architecture governance through principles, standards, reference models, and design review mechanisms.
• Build solution narratives that include architecture diagrams, transformation roadmaps, and trade-off analysis tied to business priorities.
• Communicate effectively with executive, technical, and commercial audiences, using storytelling and influence to drive alignment.
• Prepare concise, persuasive, executive-level presentations that clearly explain architecture direction and business value.
• Balance customer vision, product strengths, and implementation limitations to arrive at workable solutions.

Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate brings at least 12 years of experience in software architecture, including substantial exposure to the telecom sector. Experience leading architecture in complex, multi-vendor telecom environments is important, along with a strong track record of guiding operators through cloud migration and OSS/BSS modernization from strategy through execution. Background working closely with engineering and delivery teams is needed to ensure solutions remain implementable and consistent. Experience supporting pre-sales activities, RFP responses, and executive-level client discussions is also valuable, especially where solution positioning and differentiation are involved. Familiarity with TM Forum standards such as TMF Open APIs, SID, and eTOM is expected, and experience working in Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD delivery environments is preferred. Prior work in a software vendor or systems integrator setting is an advantage. Willingness and ability to travel is required.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
