Project Planning and Scheduling

  • Create project milestones and review work activities to make sure they align with milestone targets.

  • Advise site and multidisciplinary teams on the best seasons or time windows for carrying out work so seasonal and environmental restrictions are minimized.
  • Identify timing issues and scheduling conflicts caused by handoffs, dependencies, and cross-discipline restraints.
  • Keep forecasts current through the project life cycle by confirming schedules are updated correctly and connected to master schedules prepared by third parties.
  • Review, or support the review of, schedule-related proposal terms and prepare backup data for contract negotiations.

Schedule Monitoring and Analysis

  • Call out present and possible delays, and help drive mitigation and recovery actions.
  • Support schedule monitoring, review, and analysis through all project phases, including deviation analysis and corrective actions.
  • Assess subcontractor schedules and track forecast completion dates to confirm plans are realistic and attainable, then report variances as needed.
  • Track and report critical path changes and overall project schedule performance.
  • Assist with schedule studies and problem-area reviews to assess criticality and seek guidance from the Project Manager when needed.

Reporting, Collaboration and Data Management

  • Lead weekly and periodic progress meetings with site leadership to collect updates and discuss progress, changes, and deviations.
  • Collect and interpret project information from internal and external sources.
  • Provide current schedule insights, trends, forecasts, and planning input for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly project reports.
  • Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, and other project records relevant to the assigned scope.

Claims Support and Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Commercial and Engineering teams to prepare schedule inputs and outputs that support claims management.
