Restaurant Team Member

Role Overview

British Garden Centres is looking for a Restaurant Team Member to join its welcoming restaurant team in Grantham. The role is based at Ramsgate Garden Centre, Grantham NG32 2AB, UK. The business focuses on delivering a strong visitor experience across its centres as well as a memorable dining experience for guests.

Employment Details

This is a temporary, part-time position with 4 hours of work per week, including weekends. The role requires complete flexibility and availability for weekend shifts. There is also a possibility that the position could be extended or made permanent.

What the Role Involves

You will carry out a wide range of front-of-house and general restaurant tasks in a busy environment. The job is customer-facing and requires a friendly, confident approach, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team while adapting to the pace and demands of the business during peak periods.

Main Duties

• Serve customers and support day-to-day restaurant service.
• Clear tables and keep the dining area tidy.
• Sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Carry out washing-up and general cleaning tasks.
• Prepare drinks.
• Operate the till and handle money accurately.
• Complete all other routine restaurant duties as required.

Skills and Experience Needed

The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, a collaborative attitude, a willingness to learn, and solid customer service ability. Previous experience in a similar role is expected. Familiarity with computerised till systems may also be required.
