QC Civil Engineer

Role overview

We are seeking a QC Civil Engineer for a full-time site-based role in Doha, Qatar. The position focuses on maintaining civil quality standards across the project from execution through handover.

Key responsibilities

• Track and verify civil construction work to ensure that quality requirements are consistently met during all project stages.
• Examine drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to confirm alignment with client expectations and project criteria.
• Carry out inspections for concrete work, structural components, foundations, and other civil installations.
• Compile and keep inspection reports, quality logs, and related project records up to date.
• Work closely with project managers, consultants, and site personnel to detect, communicate, and close out quality issues.
• Confirm that materials and site activities follow approved standards and project specifications.
• Take part in quality audits and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts across project locations.
• Support final inspections and project handover activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 4 years of experience in Oil & Gas construction projects.
• Solid knowledge of QA/QC processes, construction quality requirements, and civil engineering methods.
• Background in quality records, inspections, and compliance reporting.
• Strong communication, coordination, and issue-solving skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and engineering documentation tools/systems.
• Able to perform well in a fast-moving, team-based project environment.

This is a full-time onsite opportunity in Doha, Qatar. The role is focused on quality control for civil works within Oil & Gas construction projects.
