This role is suited to someone who thrives on variety, wants broader responsibility, and is motivated by the chance to influence outcomes in a close-knit, high-performing business.
The position reports to the COO and works alongside the leadership team to drive successful project execution, operational improvement, and the development of a growing engineering team. You will be a major contributor rather than a small part of a large corporate structure, with the opportunity to shape both delivery and team performance.
About the company

The business places strong value on creativity, collaboration, trust, recognition, and shared success. Its culture is built around equality, flexibility, personal growth, and a genuine sense of teamwork.
The company describes itself as a dynamic, high-energy workplace where people are supported to learn, contribute ideas, and grow quickly. Its team culture includes monthly recognition, social events, quarterly off-site activities, and a strong emphasis on enjoying the workplace while delivering excellent results.

Key responsibilities

- Ensure invoicing is ready and work-in-progress is visible
- Build, guide, and develop a high-performing engineering team
- Track utilisation, capacity, and workforce planning needs
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Work with the COO on operational improvement initiatives
About you
The ideal candidate is a commercially astute project delivery leader who can manage several projects at once while keeping a strong focus on financial performance and team outcomes. - Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding
- Experience managing project budgets and gross profit performance
- Background leading technical or engineering teams
- Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills

Why join
- Fast career growth through broader exposure and responsibility
- Opportunity to build skills across technical, leadership, and client-facing areas
- Involvement in varied and interesting industrial projects
- Ability to influence decisions and contribute to the company’s direction
- Access to learning from technical experts, industry specialists, and leaders
- Ongoing training, development, and growth opportunities
- A culture built on family values, teamwork, trust, and enjoyment at work
